Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monitor and supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and other school-related events.

  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment and address behavioral issues in collaboration with teachers.

  • Prepare educational materials, resources, and equipment for classroom use.

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining a conducive learning environment, including setting up displays and bulletin boards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in education or related field.

  • Experience working in an educational setting, preferably with students of similar age.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage classroom behaviors effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and to support students' academic and social-emotional growth.

Necessary Experience

A minimum of two years experience in a similar role or an educational setting.

Additional Requirements

Must possess or be willing to obtain relevant state certification for an Educational Assistant. Background checks and fingerprinting may also be required as part of the hiring process.
