As the Library Director, you will be the leader of our library services, responsible for overseeing the operations, strategic planning, and management of the library. Your passion for books, innovation, community engagement, and dedicated customer service will guide your work in supporting our quest for knowledge.
Your core duties will involve:
Development of strategic plans in alignment with the library's mission and objectives.
Management of daily operations in the library, such as book acquisition, budget monitoring, and staff scheduling.
Creating an innovation-led environment to improve library services.
Recruitment, training, and mentoring of library staff.
Ensuring excellent public service, customer relations, and community engagement.
The right candidate will have:
A Master’s degree in Library Science.
Proven experience in a senior library role.
Strong knowledge of library operations, systems, and services.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
The ability to develop, advocate for, and implement forward-looking library strategies.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a public or educational library setting.
The candidate must be an innovative thinker, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This role may involve working in the evenings and weekends.
