Job Description:
All-Terrain Motors is in need of a meticulous and reliable Car Dealership Accounting & Finance Expert. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of our financial systems. This position is central to our operations – you’ll keep our numbers in check, and make it possible for our teams to serve our clients efficiently. In this role, you’ll get to show off your analytical skills, dedication to precision, and aptitude for managing various tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare, verify and deliver impeccable financial statements on a regular basis, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Carry out exhaustive transaction management, including recording and reconciling financial transactions like sales, purchases, expenses and payroll.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Vet actual performance against estimated figures.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, reconcile invoices and ensure timely collections and payments.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, taking into account cost allocation and valuation adjustments.
- Regularly perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate bookkeeping of all financial transactions.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies Required:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Car Dealership Accounting.
- Proficiency in financial software programs.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data/information.
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to balance great attention to detail and deadlines.
- Superior understanding of financial operations and processes.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong communications and IT ability.
- Certification from a recognized professional body like AICPA, ACCA or CIMA is an added advantage.
