Job Title: Medical Examiner
A crucial role within our organization, our Medical Examiner will be entrusted with high levels of responsibility regarding justice and public health. This role involves investigating deaths, determining the cause and manner of death, and ensuring accuracy and clarity for legal proceedings and family members alike.
Responsibilities and Duties

Investigating unexplained, suspicious, or unnatural deaths

Conducting autopsies and post-mortem examinations

Collecting and testing body fluids and tissue samples

Working cohesively with a multidisciplinary team of law enforcement and medical professionals

Documenting and presenting written findings in a clear and concise manner

Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information
Qualifications

Must possess an MD or DO degree and have successfully completed an accredited fellowship in Forensic Pathology.

Certification by the American Board of Pathology is required.

Additional qualifications in clinical, anatomical, or surgical pathology will be considered an advantage.

Experience
Experience necessary for the role includes a minimum of three years post-residency in an accredited institution. This coupled with a demonstrated history of conducting autopsy procedures and medical investigations is crucial. Experience in court testimony is also beneficial.
