Job Title: Medical Coder

Responsibilities and Duties

In your role as a Medical Coder, your main responsibilities will include:

• Accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to patient records based on medical documentation

• Maintaining strict compliance with coding guidelines and regulations

• Conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure the accuracy and completeness of coded data

• Communicating effectively regularly with healthcare professionals to ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will:

• Possess a strong foundation in ICD-10CM and CPT coding

• Hold a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or are willing to obtain one

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Necessary Experience

The candidate should have at least two years of experience in medical coding or a related field.

Additional Requirements

Knowledge of the healthcare system and medical terminologies is a plus.
