Responsibilities and Duties

The Education Compliance Officer is responsible for:

  • Promoting compliance with regulatory requirements through all educational programs.

  • Conducting thorough audits and assessments regularly to verify the institution's compliance with educational standards.

  • Bringing to light any inconsistencies and non-compliance issues and implementing correctional measures.

  • Developing and updating compliance programs in line with new and evolving regulations.

  • Collaborating with departments to create improved procedures and practices.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

As an Education Compliance Officer, you should:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred).

  • Have a working knowledge of state and federal regulations relating to education institutions.

  • Possess the ability to conduct audits, and assessments and understand educational standards.

  • Be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

  • Have strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

  • Stay updated with changes in relevant laws.

Additional Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role and an understanding of institutional policies in an educational setting are highly desirable.
