Job Title: Lead Teacher
St. George High School is urgently seeking a Lead Teacher. The selected individual will be instrumental in aligning teaching strategies across all grade levels, mentoring subject teachers, and playing a key role in enhancing classroom management. The application of assessment data to determine instructional methodologies and identify opportunities for improvement also forms a critical core of this role.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Lead Teacher will:
Coordinate with subject teachers to ensure uniformity across various grade levels.
Mentor subject teachers, providing insight on effective instructional strategies and classroom management techniques.
Analyze and utilize assessment data to direct instructional decisions and pinpoint areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate must reflect the following set of skills and qualifications:
Extensive teaching experience, with a proven history of leadership roles.
Superb understanding of curriculum design and implementation.
Ability to analyze data and use it strategically to enhance teaching methodology and curriculum.
Exceptional mentorship capabilities and a strong aptitude for classroom management.
Dynamic interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact productively with colleagues and students alike.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant teaching experience with some expertise in a leadership role is mandatory. Previous working experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate must hold a relevant teaching diploma/certificate and provide appropriate references and clearances.
