Responsibilities and Duties
The General Clerk will be entrusted with the following responsibilities and duties:

Carrying out regular clerical duties including filing, answering telephone calls, responding to emails, and preparing documents.

Operating office machines, such as photocopying, voice mail systems, and personal computers.

Maintaining and updating files, databases, and inventories with statistical, financial, and non-financial information.

Supporting other staff members and departments with their administrative requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for the General Clerk role would possess the following qualifications, skills and competencies:

An associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word in particular).

Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Sound knowledge of office procedures.
Experience
One to three years of office administrative experience is required. Previous experience as a clerk or in similar role will be considered an advantage.
