Job Title: Dispatch Clerk

This role is critical in servicing our customers and keeping our operations flow optimal. The Dispatch Clerk receives, processes and coordinates delivery requests and routes them to appropriate drivers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Your main duties would include:

Receiving delivery requests, coordinating dispatch and meticulously scheduling deliveries to maximize operational efficiency
Communicating and coordinating with drivers to ensure they understand their assignments
Actively monitoring dispatch activities with advanced tracking systems and GPS technology, ensuring prompt resolution of logistical issues and timely communication with stakeholders
Maintaining and updating dispatch records, recording every detail from delivery times to driver and customer data
Preparing concise reports on dispatch activities, identifying key performance metrics for management's consideration

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

Strong cyber literacy with the ability to keep up with relevant technology and software
Familiarity with GPS and delivery route optimization technology
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle pressure with ease
Good record-keeping skills and the ability to generate actionable reports

Necessary Experience:

At least one year experience as a Dispatch Clerk or a similar role in a logistics environment. Experience using dispatch software is a big plus.
