Discussion Themes Presented

Sophia articulated feelings of overwhelming stress relating to her management role at work, citing a recent project that required her to assume additional responsibilities. She admitted to having difficulty delegating work to her team which in turn had led to burnout and feelings of isolation. She also acknowledged episodes of anxiety that are negatively impacting her personal life.

Observation on Mood

On today's session, Sophia largely conveyed feelings of exhaustion, palpable anxiety and subdued demeanor. She displayed some signs of irritability when discussing workplace conflicts. However, her overall engagement throughout the session showed willingness to seek solutions.

Therapeutic Interventions Implemented

Employing cognitive-behavioral techniques, I worked with Sophia to identify distortions in her perceptions of work responsibilities and her role in team dynamics. We also explored Relaxation Training to manage her immediate feelings of anxiety, and created a plan for her to implement these techniques between our Patient Therapy sessions.

Progress and Future Goals

Progress today was noticeable. Sophia was able to articulate her feelings and identify key areas in her work-life balance needing attention. Recognizing her anxiety and committing to use relaxation exercises at home signify positive steps towards her psychological wellness.

The future goals for Sophia includes diminishing her feelings of anxiety related to work, improving delegation skills and fostering better interpersonal relations with her team, with a focus on maintaining a healthier work-life balance.
