Medical Excuse Note For School
Excuse Note
Dear James Anderson,
I hope this note finds you in good health. I am writing on behalf of my child who unfortunately, had to miss school due to sudden health problems. A serious yet unexpected illness had caught them off guard requiring an immediate medical attention and subsequently, a rest period to regain health as advised by our family physician.
Our doctor has recommended staying at home for a while to fully recover from this bout of illness. This surely is a measure we did not anticipate, but as we are always told, health comes first. As much as education is important, it would be a futile endeavor to prioritize it over the wellbeing of my child in such circumstances.
I believe in the high standards of education that your institution upholds and I am fully aware that unanticipated absences can lead to missed academic commitments. My child is equally conscious of the responsibilities as a student and is more than willing to catch up and make up for the lost time once fully recovered. I am confident that with your understanding and the cooperation of the staff, they can make a swift academic recovery as well.
Please excuse them from school during this period and kindly update us with any assignments or tasks that have to be completed so we can work on them at home as much as their health allows.
We are counting on your understanding and empathy in this unexpected predicament. Thank you very much for your consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Emily Davis
