Diploma or certificate in social work, nursing, psychology, or related field
Experiential knowledge in caring for or assisting individuals with disabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
Good physical health and stamina, able to perform necessary manual handling tasks
Assist individuals with daily tasks and activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and mobility
Develop support plans to suit individuals' needs and goals
Encourage and facilitate community participation and independence
Offer emotional support and companionship
Maintain clear, honest, and regular communication with individuals and their families
Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
Must possess a clean driving record and reliable transportation
Must pass a criminal background and reference check
Must have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
