Hotel Housekeeping Checklist

Please follow this checklist to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly in each guest room and public area.

      Guest Room Cleaning

      • Dust all surfaces (furniture, lamps, baseboards)

      • Vacuum or sweep floors and carpets

      • Make bed (change linens, fluff pillows)

      • Clean and disinfect bathroom (toilet, sink, shower)

      • Replace used towels

      • Empty trash and replace liners

      • Check for damages or maintenance issues

      Public Area Cleaning

      • Clean lobby and seating areas

      • Sweep, mop, or vacuum hallways

      • Clean public restrooms

      • Wipe down elevator buttons and floors

      Deep Cleaning Tasks (Weekly/Monthly)

      • Clean air vents

      • Vacuum or clean upholstery

      • Dust or clean curtains/blinds

      • Spot clean walls

      Laundry & Linen

      • Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens (sheets, towels, pillowcases, washcloths)

      • Check laundry machines for cleanliness and functionality

      • Sort and fold freshly laundered towels and linens

      • Inspect linens for stains or damages before placing in rooms

      • Iron or press linens and guest laundry as needed

      • Replace all used linens in guest rooms (including extra bedding)

      Room Maintenance

      • Restock minibar items (snacks, beverages, etc.)

      • Ensure all lights and lamps are working (replace any burnt-out bulbs)

      • Check the TV, phone, and in-room electronics for proper function

      • Test and clean air conditioning and heating units for performance

      • Ensure all room amenities (coffee maker, safe, hairdryer) are in working order

      • Report any damage (furniture, fixtures) or maintenance issues for repair
