Focused on public safety and security, a Law Enforcement Dispatcher is a vital link in our law enforcement team. This role requires clear communication, quick action, team coordination and a deep understanding of emergency situations. Operate communication equipment to relay incoming emergency calls to appropriate staff.
Coordinate with law enforcement officers in the field to exchange information and coordinate efforts.
Utilize a variety of information systems such as CAD and RMS.
Maintain log of all calls, incidents and dispatches.
Keep up-to-date information on all law enforcement activities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in emergency dispatch or relevant role preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Proficiency in computer systems, including data entry and retrieval.
Previous law enforcement, military, or public service experience is highly valued, but not an absolute requirement. Training will be provided to adapt to the unique requirements of the position.
Must pass a thorough background check.
Willingness to work shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Successful completion of dispatch training program.
