Dear Ms. Holmes,
I am writing to inform you of my pregnancy and my intention to take the allotted maternity leave provided by the school district. It is medically predicted that my baby is due on August 15, 2050.
As stipulated by the labor laws and applicable school district policies, my maternity leave would commence one month before the expected date of delivery, that is, on July 15, 2050.
I intend to resume duty on January 15, 2051. If there are any changes, I will promptly notify the school. During my absence, I am happy to assist in finding a substitute teacher and preparing them for the semester so that there's a smooth transition for the students.
I look forward to your understanding and support during this important time in my life.
