Equine Lease Agreement
This agreement is made and entered into this first day of January 2050 by and between Alice Rider, hereinafter referred to as the "Owner" and Bob Equestrian, hereinafter referred to as the "Lessee". The Lease described below is situated at and described as a horse named Midnight.
1. Description of Leased Horse
MIDNIGHT (hereinafter "Horse"), of the following description:
Breed: Quarter Horse
Color/Markings: Black with a white star on the forehead
Date of Birth or Age: Approximately 5 years old
2. Lease Term and Lease Fee
This Lease begins on January 2, 2050, and ends on February 2, 2050. The total lease fee for this term shall be payable in quarterly installments of $50 each, due on the first day of each calendar quarter.
3. Uses and Limitations
The Lessee must only use the Horse for purposes of private pleasure including hunting, jumping, dressage, trail riding, and showing.
4. Health Maintenance and Vetinerary Attention
The Lessee agrees to care for the Horse as per industry standards and to promptly secure veterinary care if required. The cost of regular farrier care, dental care, and deworming will be the responsibility of the Lessee.
5. Liability
The Lessee assumes all responsibilities for any injury or damage caused by the Horse during the term of this Lease. Lessee shall hold Owner harmless from any and all liability for injury or damage.
6. Insurance
The Lessee shall maintain a liability insurance policy with respect to the Horse and its use, and the Owner shall be named as an additional insured.
7. Termination
This agreement may be terminated by mutual agreement of the parties or by the violation of any provision by either party.
8. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes under this agreement will be resolved in the courts of Texas.
