Job Description: Industrial Electrician

Job Summary/Objective:

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and need for adjustments or repair.

• Locate and diagnose malfunction in electrical systems or equipment using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or voltmeters.

• Plan and implement electrical system upgrades and installations.

• Maintain an inventory of all electrical equipment and ensure they are in optimal working condition.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal electrical codes during installation, inspection, and maintenance processes.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an electrician program at a technical or trade school required.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Industrial Electrician.

• Active electrician license.

• Excellent knowledge of state electrical codes.

• Experience in industrial settings preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of electrical manuals and schematics.

• Fine motor skills and the ability to perform meticulous manual tasks.

• Able to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.

• Proven ability to think critically and solve complex problems.

• Excellent communication skills.
