Puppy Contract
THIS AGREEMENT is made this 6th day of June 2050, by and between Puppy Haven (herein referred to as the "Rescuer"), a non-profit animal rescue organization, located at [YOUR COMPANY ADDRESS], and Roger Johnson (herein referred to as the "Owner"), an individual, located at 33 St. Lambourgh NY 10012.
1. Object of the Contract
The Rescuer agrees to the adoption of a puppy, specifically identified as "Macky", by the Owner and the Owner agrees to adopt Macky on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth.
2. Adoption Fee:
The Owner shall pay the Rescuer an adoption fee of $500 on or before June 6, 2050. This fee represents an approximate recovery of veterinary and care expenses incurred by the Rescuer.
3. Health and Well-Being
The Rescuer represents and warrants to the best of its knowledge that Macky is in good health at the time of this adoption. The Rescuer recommends that the Owner take Macky for a veterinary examination within one week following the adoption date.
4. Spay/Neuter Contract
The Owner agrees that if Macky is not already spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, the Owner will ensure that Macky is spayed/neutered by a licensed veterinarian by no later than when Macky reaches the age of 4.
5. Care and Treatment
The Owner agrees to provide thorough, attentive, and loving care to Macky at all times. This includes but is not limited to, providing adequate food, water, shelter, companionship, and medical care for Macky throughout his/her lifetime.
6. Return of Macky
If at any point the Owner can no longer care for Macky, the Owner agrees to contact the Rescuer and arrange for Macky's return. Under no circumstances shall Macky be given away or sold without the consent of the Rescuer.
7. Indemnification
The Owner hereby agrees to indemnify and hold the Rescuer harmless from all claims, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of any damage or injury caused by Macky after the date of this Contract.
8. Entire Contract
This Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning Macky and supersedes all prior negotiations, understandings, or agreements.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Rescuer and the Owner, intending to be legally bound, have signed this Contract as of the date first above written.
