Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional

Job Summary/Objective

As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will be an integral part of the students' educational journey, providing assistance in various academic, behavioral, and social development tasks. This is a position that requires patience, compassion, and understanding, aiming to enhance and nurture the learning experiences of students with special needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Supporting the lead teacher in implementing educational plans.

2. Helping students with classroom activities, assignments, and behavioral management.

3. Facilitating communication between students, teachers, and parents.

4. Monitoring and documenting students’ progress and providing feedback to teachers.

5. Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of classroom materials.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate's degree.

• At least two years of experience working with special needs individuals.

• It would be beneficial to have certifications related to special education para-professional roles.

Skills and Competencies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage behavior and classroom routines effectively.
