Job Title: Literacy Coach
The Literacy coach plays a vital role in promoting literacy skills and fostering a love for reading among the students. You will be responsible for improving our literacy program's effectiveness, empowering teachers and students alike, and driving overall academic improvement in our organization.
Responsibilities and Duties

Collaborate with teachers to design and implement compelling literacy programs that align with students' needs and learning capabilities.

Provide professional development and mentorship to educators in literacy instruction methodologies.

Conduct ongoing assessments to track students' progress and benchmark the effectiveness of the literacy program.

Develop and promote reading activities that generate interest, understanding, and insight into various forms of texts.

Communicate and collaborate with parents or carers to encourage and support student literacy at home.
Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required.

A Master’s degree in Reading or Literacy Education (preferred).

At least five (5) years experience in a classroom setting with a focus on literacy instruction.

Experience in leadership roles or mentoring teachers (preferred).

Current teaching certification.
