Event Photography Contract

This Event Photography Contract (the “Contract") is entered into as of [Date], by and between [Photographer’s Name] (the "Photographer"), having its principal place of business at [Photographer's Address], and [Client’s Name] (the "Client"), having a principal place of business at [Client's Address].

1. EVENT DETAILS

The event, for which the Photographer is engaged, will occur on [Event Date], at [Event Location]. Details such as start time, end time, and special requirements will be separately communicated and agreed upon.

2. SERVICES PROVIDED

The Photographer enters an agreement in which they are bound to provide their expert services in the field of event photography. These services aim to cover the entire duration of the event. The scope of these services is:

Services will include capturing spontaneous and unposed moments that reflect genuine emotions and interactions throughout the event.

3. PAYMENT TERMS

Total Fee: The total fee for the event photography services is agreed upon as [Total Fee]. This fee covers the entirety of the services outlined in this contract.
Deposit: A deposit of [Deposit Amount] is required upon signing this Agreement to secure the Photographer's services for the event. The deposit amount is non-refundable and will be deducted from the total fee.

4. COPYRIGHT AND USAGE RIGHTS

The Photographer retains the copyright to all photographs taken during the event.
The Client is granted personal usage rights to the photographs for non-commercial purposes, including printing, sharing on social media, and personal use.
Commercial usage rights may be negotiated separately between the Photographer and the Client.

5. DELIVERY TIMELINE

The Photographer concurs with the agreement of providing and securely delivering the fully edited and finalized photographs to the Client. These photographs, which have been carefully edited after the conclusion of the event, are to be delivered strictly within the agreed-upon timeline. This delivery timeline commences immediately after the designated event date.

6. CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event of cancellation by the Client, the deposit is non-refundable. However, if the Photographer cancels for any reason, a full refund of the deposit will be issued to the Client.

7. LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION

The Photographer shall not be held liable for any damages or injuries incurred during the event. The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Photographer from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the Client's actions or negligence.

8. MODEL RELEASE

The Client grants permission for the use of their likeness in the Photographer's portfolio, website, or promotional materials. This includes but is not limited to online galleries, social media posts, and printed materials. By agreeing to this clause, the Client acknowledges and consents to the Photographer's use of their images for promotional purposes.

9. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Photographer and the Client and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral. Any modifications to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction].
