Freelance Video Editor Contract
FREELANCE VIDEO EDITOR CONTRACT
This Video Editing Services Contract (CONTRACT) is made and effective as of the [DATE] by and between [CLIENT'S NAME] (the “Client”), a company with its primary place of business at [CLIENT'S ADDRESS], and [YOUR NAME] (the “Video Editor”), an independent contractor whose principal place of business is [YOUR COMPANY ADDRESS].
1. SCOPE OF SERVICES
The individual professionally known as a Video Editor, whose prime focus of business is to provide services related to the editing of various video content, has engaged with a client who has expressed the desire to involve the Video Editor in their respective project. The foundation of this engagement or involvement would require the Video Editor to offer their professional services based on certain terms and conditions that are explicitly outlined and detailed in the contract that has been mutually discussed and accepted by both parties - the Video Editor and the Client.
2. TERMS OF AGREEMENT
This Contract, as specified, shall begin its effectivity from the date which is written at the beginning of this document and will remain active until such time when it is decided by either party to terminate its existing terms and conditions. It should be duly noted that either of the participating parties reserves the right to call for the termination of this contract at any given time. However, a written notice expressing the intention to terminate the contract must be provided ahead of time by the party seeking termination.
3. SERVICES
The individual who is a professional in video editing, herein referred to as the Video Editor, agrees to supply their expertise and services in the field of video editing to the Client. This will be carried out on a freelance basis, providing the Client with the flexibility that often comes with this type of working arrangement. The Video Editor commits to perform their job according to standard industry practices. This encompasses carrying out all tasks and responsibilities that are deemed reasonably essential and ordinarily practiced as per the customs of a professional relationship of this nature between a freelance service provider and a Client.
4. FEES FOR SERVICES
The Client agrees to pay the Video Editor a $500 fee, payable on the 1st of each month for the duration of the project. It's the sole responsibility of the Video Editor to pay any applicable taxes on the fees received
5. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR
The Video Editor is an independent contractor, and nothing in this Contract creates an employer-employee relationship between the Client and the Video Editor.
6. CONFIDENTIALITY
The individual who is primarily responsible for editing videos, herein referred to as the Video Editor, hereby pledges and agrees to maintain the utmost privacy and confidentiality concerning all information that is provided by the Consulting Party, also referred to as the Client. Under no circumstances shall the Video Editor disclose, share, or divulge this information to any third-party individuals or entities, unless such action is mandated or required under the applicable legal or legislative guidelines.
7. OWNERSHIP OF MATERIALS
The Client will have full ownership and possession of all rights, titles, and interests that pertain to the finished product. This includes not only copyrights but also all other types of proprietary rights that might affect or be included in the finished product being developed. These comprehensive ownership rights will be undeniably vested in the Client.
8. INDEMNITY
The Video Editor shall indemnify and hold harmless the Client from and against any losses, damages, costs, liabilities, and expenses, due to or arising out of the performance of the Video Editor's services under this Agreement.
9. GOVERNING LAW
This Contract shall be governed by and construed following the laws of [JURISDICTION].
