PET SITTER CONTRACT

This Pet Sitter Contract (the “Contract”) is entered into as of [DATE] (the “Effective Date”), by and between [Client Name], located at [Client's Address] (the “Client”), and [Your Name], located at [Your Company Address] (the "Pet Sitter").

                                                                                                                                         

I. Scope of Services

The Pet Sitter agrees to provide the following services:

• Feeding and providing fresh water for the pet(s) according to specified instructions.

• Administering any required medications or supplements to the pet(s) as provided by the Owner.

• Exercising and providing adequate playtime for the pet(s) as agreed upon by both parties.

• Cleaning litter boxes, cages, or other pet living areas as necessary.

• Providing basic grooming such as brushing and bathing if requested by the Owner.

• Monitoring the pet(s) for any signs of illness or distress and promptly notifying the Owner if any concerns arise.

• Any additional services agreed upon by both parties.

II. Access to Property

The Owner agrees to provide access to their property to the Pet Sitter during the agreed-upon service period. This includes providing keys, access codes, or any necessary instructions for entry to the property.

III. Emergency Procedures

In the event of an emergency involving the pet(s), the Pet Sitter agrees to:

• Contact the Owner or the designated emergency contact immediately.

• Transport the pet(s) to the nearest veterinary clinic or emergency pet care facility if necessary, at the Owner's expense.

• Follow any emergency care instructions provided by the Owner or the pet's veterinarian to the best of their ability.

IV. Liability and Indemnification

The Pet Sitter agrees to exercise reasonable care and diligence in performing their duties; however, they shall not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or losses incurred by the pet(s) during the term of this contract, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct. The Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Pet Sitter from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of the pet(s)' behavior, health, or actions.

V. Fees and Payment

The parties agree to the following terms regarding fees and payment:

• The Owner shall pay the Pet Sitter the agreed-upon fee for the services rendered, as outlined in the Pricing and Payment section of this contract.

• Payment shall be made via certified check, money order, or bank transfer in full before the commencement of services, upon completion of services.

• Any additional expenses incurred by the Pet Sitter during the provision of services (e.g., veterinary expenses, transportation costs) shall be reimbursed by the Owner promptly upon receipt of an itemized invoice.

VI. Cancellation Policy

If either party wishes to cancel or reschedule the agreed-upon pet-sitting services, they agree to provide 48 hours notice in advance. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee as outlined in the Pricing and Payment section of this contract.
