I. Appointment of Attorney

I, [Your Name], residing at [Your Address], hereby appoint [Agent's Name], residing at [Agent's Address], as my true and lawful attorney-in-fact (Agent) to act on my behalf in all matters concerning the titling, registration, purchase, sale, transfer, or other dealings related to my motor vehicle described as follows:

II. General Authority

  1. Make applications for a certificate of title or duplicate certificate of title

This grants the Agent the authority to submit applications to the appropriate governmental agency to obtain either an original certificate of title for the motor vehicle or a duplicate certificate of title if the original is lost, stolen, or damaged.

  2. Transfer title by assignment or bill of sale:

This authorizes the Agent to transfer ownership of the motor vehicle by completing and signing the necessary paperwork, such as an assignment or bill of sale, to convey ownership from the current owner (the Principal) to another party.

  3. Apply for, endorse, and transfer certificate of title

This allows the Agent to apply for a new certificate of title on behalf of the Principal, endorse the certificate of title when necessary, and transfer ownership of the vehicle to another party by completing the appropriate documentation.

  4. Execute all necessary documents related to the sale or transfer of the motor vehicle:

This empowers the Agent to sign any documents required for the sale or transfer of the motor vehicle, including but not limited to purchase agreements, transfer forms, or any other legal documents related to the transaction.

  5. Represent me before any governmental agency, including the Department of Revenue - Division of Motor Vehicles, to sign all documents necessary for the registration, titling, or transfer of ownership of the motor vehicle This grants the Agent the authority to act as the Principal's representative before government agencies, such as the Department of Revenue - Division of Motor Vehicles, to sign and submit any documents required for the registration, titling, or transfer of ownership of the motor vehicle.

  6. Do all things necessary or desirable to carry out the foregoing

This is a catch-all provision that authorizes the Agent to take any additional actions or steps necessary to fulfill the powers granted in the Power of Attorney, ensuring that the Agent has the flexibility to handle any unforeseen circumstances or requirements that may arise during the execution of their duties.

III. Duration

This Power of Attorney shall be effective immediately and shall remain effective until revoked by me in writing or upon the sale, transfer, or disposition of the motor vehicle, whichever occurs first.

IV. Revocation

I hold the authority and maintain the discretion to withdraw or cancel this Power of Attorney whenever I deem necessary or appropriate. I can exercise this authority at any point in time, but I must notify my Agent about the revocation. This notice of cancellation must be delivered in a written format to ensure proper, legal communication and to avoid any potential misunderstandings or misconceptions.

V. Third Parties

Any third party who receives a copy of this Power of Attorney may rely on it as if it were an original, and my Agent shall have the same authority concerning the third party as if I were personally present.

VI. Governing Law

This Power of Attorney shall be governed by and construed by the laws of the State of Colorado.

I hereby grant my Agent full power and authority to perform all acts authorized by this Power of Attorney on my behalf. This includes the authority to execute any documents, provide any necessary information, and otherwise act as if I were personally present.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless my Agent from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from or related to the exercise of authority under this Power of Attorney, except for acts of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
