Key Responsibilities

• Resident Support: Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility. Provide compassionate support and companionship to enhance their quality of life.
  

• Health Monitoring: Monitor residents’ health, report changes in condition to nursing staff, and assist with the implementation of care plans as directed.
  

• Meal Assistance: Help with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up, ensuring residents’ nutritional needs are met according to their care plans.
  

• Activity Coordination: Encourage and assist residents in participating in activities and social programs designed to keep them engaged and active.
  

• Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in residents’ rooms and common areas to ensure a safe and pleasant environment. Follow all health and safety guidelines rigorously.
  

• Communication: Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and team members, providing updates on residents’ well-being and any concerns that may arise.
  

• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in providing care.
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification or training in caregiving, CNA certification, or similar is a plus.

• Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a nursing home, assisted living, or other healthcare setting, is desirable but not required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to caring for the elderly.

• Ability to perform physical tasks required by the job, including lifting and assisting residents.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
