Key Responsibilities

Resident Support: Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility. Provide compassionate support and companionship to enhance their quality of life.

Health Monitoring: Monitor residents’ health, report changes in condition to nursing staff, and assist with the implementation of care plans as directed.

Meal Assistance: Help with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up, ensuring residents’ nutritional needs are met according to their care plans.

Activity Coordination: Encourage and assist residents in participating in activities and social programs designed to keep them engaged and active.

Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in residents’ rooms and common areas to ensure a safe and pleasant environment. Follow all health and safety guidelines rigorously.

Communication: Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and team members, providing updates on residents’ well-being and any concerns that may arise.

Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in providing care.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification or training in caregiving, CNA certification, or similar is a plus.

Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a nursing home, assisted living, or other healthcare setting, is desirable but not required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to caring for the elderly.

Ability to perform physical tasks required by the job, including lifting and assisting residents.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
