Key Responsibilities

  • Safety and Security Management: Develop, implement, and monitor safety and security policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of residents, staff, and visitors.

  • Emergency Response Coordination: Serve as the primary coordinator for emergency response activities, including evacuation drills, emergency preparedness training, and incident management.

  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all safety and security operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices.

  • Facility Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and mitigate potential security risks or safety hazards.

  • Staff Training: Provide training to staff on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and security measures.

  • Incident Reporting and Investigation: Oversee the documentation and investigation of security incidents or safety violations, taking corrective actions as necessary.

  • Liaison with External Agencies: Act as the primary contact for law enforcement, emergency services, and other external agencies regarding safety and security matters.

  • Resident Support: Work closely with residents to understand their safety concerns and incorporate feedback into security planning and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in security or emergency management are a plus.

  • Proven experience in a security or safety role, preferably within a healthcare or residential setting.

  • Knowledge of security systems and emergency response planning.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
