This Nanny Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into on [Date], between [Your Name], hereinafter referred to as the "Client," and [Nanny's Name], hereinafter referred to as the "Nanny." This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions of employment between the Family and the Nanny.


1. Terms of Employment

The Family agrees to employ the Nanny, whose primary role and responsibility is to provide childcare services. This employment agreement will start on the mentioned date, which is referred to as [Date]. The period of this employment will carry on for an indefinite term until either the Nanny or the Family decides to terminate the agreement. Any intention to end the employment must be communicated ahead of time by at least two weeks, and it should be shared in a written notice.

2. Duties and Obligations

The individual hired for the Nanny position will have the sole responsibility of providing a broad range of childcare services. These services are comprised of a multitude of tasks that will include but are not exclusive to, feeding the children, bathing them, and engaging them in activities that are both appropriate for their age group and beneficial to their overall development. Additionally, the Nanny is expected to foster an environment that not only ensures the safety of the children but also nurtures them. This includes creating a space that promotes their well-being and assures their utmost safety while under her care and supervision.

3. Working Hours

The agreed working hours for the Nanny will be from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the evening, spanning from Monday to Friday each week. If there happens to be a situation that necessitates the Nanny to work additional hours that fall outside this predetermined schedule, any such additional hours will be remunerated at an agreed hourly rate of $15.

4. Compensation

As a recognition and reward for the services that she will be providing, the individual assigned the role of the Nanny shall be compensated with a salary every month. This monthly salary will be an amount of $2,400. The designated day of payment will be the 1st day of each month. The mode of payment that will be utilized to transfer this salary will be direct deposit unless it is decided otherwise. If there is to be a different method of payment, this shall be discussed and established in an agreement that is put in writing.

5. Vacation and Sick Leave

The individual in the capacity of Nanny is due the allotment of fifteen days each year as paid vacation time. However, the specific times and dates on which this vacation will be taken must be decided upon and agreed to mutually by both parties involved. Additionally, should the Nanny ever find herself handicapped by sickness or any other form of inability that prevents the performance of her stipulated duties, it is her responsibility to inform the Family about these circumstances at the earliest possible convenience. Further, under such specific circumstances of illness or incapacitation, the Nanny deserves an allocation of seven days per year as paid sick leave.

6. Confidentiality

The Nanny acknowledges and agrees that she will strictly uphold and preserve the confidentiality of all information that pertains to the Family, as well as their affairs. This incorporates, without limitation, the safeguarding of both personal details and financial matters related to the Family. It is necessary to emphasize that this responsibility and obligation of maintaining confidentiality extends beyond the period of the nanny’s employment or engagement with the Family. In other words, the obligation to keep sensitive information confidential persists even after this Agreement has terminated or otherwise come to a conclusion.

7. Governing Law

The provisions and stipulations outlined in this Agreement shall be subject to, and interpreted by, the legal statutes and codes of [Jurisdiction]. Any disputes, disagreements, or issues that arise from or are connected in any way to this Agreement and its contents, will be handled and settled through a legally binding arbitration process as set out by the prescribed rules and regulations of the American Arbitration Association.

8. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Family and the Nanny concerning the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior agreements, whether written or oral, relating thereto. This Agreement may only be amended in writing and signed by both parties.
