DJ EVENT CONTRACT
This Contract is made and entered into on [DATE], by and between [Your Name] hereinafter referred to as the "DJ" with the residence at [YOUR ADDRESS], and [CLIENT'S NAME] hereinafter referred to as the "Client" with the residence at [CLIENT'S ADDRESS]. This Contract outlines the terms and conditions under which the DJ will render DJ services for an event organized by the Client.
1. SERVICES

The DJ, [DJ'S NAME], agrees to provide comprehensive event DJ services for the Client, [CLIENT'S NAME], as outlined in this contract. These services include, but are not limited to:
1.1 Curating and Playing Music
The DJ will carefully curate and play music that is suitable for the event's theme, tone, and audience demographics. This includes selecting appropriate genres, tracks, and transitions to create a seamless and enjoyable musical experience throughout the event.
1.2 Providing Professional Sound Equipment
The DJ will supply and set up high-quality professional sound equipment, including speakers, amplifiers, microphones, mixers, and other necessary gear. The equipment will be properly configured and tested to ensure optimal sound quality and performance.
1.3 Emceeing and Interacting with Guests:
In addition to DJing, the DJ will serve as an emcee, making announcements, introducing speakers or performers, and engaging with guests to create a lively and engaging atmosphere. This includes maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with event attendees.
1.4 Adhering to Specific Music Preferences
The DJ will respect and adhere to the Client's specific music preferences and playlist requests, as communicated in advance. This may include playing certain songs or artists requested by the Client, avoiding explicit content if requested, and following any guidelines or restrictions related to music selection.
1.5 Additional Services (if applicable)
[Optional] If additional services such as lighting effects, audiovisual enhancements, or special effects are requested by the Client, details of these services will be outlined in Schedule A attached hereto and incorporated into this contract.
2. EVENT DETAILS
The services will be rendered at the following events:
2.1 Event Information

2.2 Punctuality and Setup:
The DJ acknowledges the importance of punctuality and will arrive at least two hours before the event starts time for setup and sound check. This early arrival ensures proper setup of equipment, sound testing, and coordination with event staff, contributing to a seamless and successful performance.
3. PAYMENT TERMS
The Client agrees to compensate the DJ for their services as follows:
Total Fee: $1000
Advance Payment: $300
Upon signing this contract secure the DJ's availability for the event.
Final Balance Payment: $700
Due no later than April 10, 2024, before the event date.
4. CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of cancellation:
The Client forfeits the advance payment of $300.
Cancellation within 7 days of the event date requires payment of the full balance of $1000.
Exceptions to this policy due to extenuating circumstances will be reviewed and mutually agreed upon by both parties.
5. TERMINATION
Either party may terminate this contract by providing written notice to the other party. Upon termination:
The DJ will promptly return any payment received for services not yet rendered, minus compensation for services rendered up to the termination date. The compensation for services rendered will be calculated based on the proportion of completed services compared to the total contracted services.
For example, if the DJ has completed 50% of the contracted services before termination, they will retain 50% of the total payment received.
The Client will have no further obligations under this contract and will not be liable for any additional payments beyond the compensation for services rendered up to the termination date.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
While the DJ will make every effort to provide exceptional services, it is important to acknowledge certain limitations of liability:
Technical Difficulties: The DJ is not liable for technical difficulties beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to power outages, equipment malfunctions, or internet connectivity issues. However, the DJ will endeavor to resolve such issues promptly to minimize disruptions to the event.
Indirect or Consequential Damages: The DJ is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages that may arise as a result of DJ services. This includes but is not limited to lost profits, business interruption, or reputational impacts. The Client acknowledges that the DJ's liability is limited to the scope of services outlined in this contract.
The Client acknowledges and accepts these limitations of liability and agrees not to hold the DJ responsible for circumstances beyond their control or for indirect damages resulting from DJ services.
7. ENTIRE CONTRACT
This contract constitutes the entire Contract between both parties and supersedes any prior oral or written Contracts or understandings. Any amendments or modifications to this contract must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
8. GOVERNING LAW
This Contract is governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW STATE]. Any disputes arising from this contract will be resolved through arbitration in [ARBITRATION LOCATION], with each party responsible for their legal costs.
