Minnesota Last Will and Testament
Minnesota Last Will and Testament
I. Declaration
I, [Your Name], residing at [Your Address], being of sound mind and disposing of memory, do hereby make, publish, and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament, revoking all previous wills and codicils made by me.
II. Appointment of Executor
I appoint [Name of Executor] as the Executor of this Will. If [Name of Executor] is unable or unwilling to serve, I appoint [Alternative Executor Name] as the alternate Executor.
III. Funeral Arrangements
-
I direct my Executor to ensure that my funeral and burial arrangements are carried out according to my wishes.
-
I express my preference for cremation and request that my remains be scattered at Lake Superior, where I've always found solace and peace.
-
Please ensure that the funeral service is held at the Church of St. Mary in Minneapolis. I would like classical music to be played during the service, and I request that my favorite hymn, 'Amazing Grace,' be sung.
IV. Disposition of Property
-
I give, devise, and bequeath all of my real and personal property, wherever situated, to [Name of Beneficiary], if they survive me, or to [Name of Contingent Beneficiary] if [Name of Beneficiary] predeceases me.
-
If any of my beneficiaries predecease me, their share shall be distributed equally among the surviving beneficiaries.
-
[Specific bequests, if any]
V. Guardianship
-
If I have any minor children at the time of my death, I nominate [Name of Guardian] as the guardian of their persons and estates.
-
If [Name of Guardian] is unable or unwilling to serve, I nominate [Alternative Guardian Name] as the alternate guardian.
VI. Miscellaneous Provisions
-
I authorize my Executor to pay all my debts, funeral expenses, and the expenses of administering my estate from my estate assets.
-
I at this moment give my Executor full power and authority to sell, mortgage, lease, or otherwise dispose of any real or personal property belonging to my estate, without any order of court.
-
I direct that my executors shall not be required to furnish any bond or security in any jurisdiction in connection with their duties as executors of my estate.
VII. Final Provisions
I at this moment firmly declare and affirm that this document I am presenting does indeed represent my final testament and last Will. I want to be clear and unequivocal that this testament, and no other, embodies my most recent and ultimate wishes. It also serves to officially nullify and revoke any previous wills and codicils that I may have drafted and put into effect before this one.
