DAY 1

Morning

Begin your journey from the village of Num. You can reach Num by road from Tumlingtar, which is accessible via a short flight from Kathmandu.

Mid-morning to Afternoon

Trek from Num to Seduwa. This part of the trek involves walking through lush forests and passing by small villages.

Lunch

Enjoy a packed lunch en route or at a teahouse in Seduwa.

Late Afternoon

Continue trekking from Seduwa to Tashigaon. This section offers stunning views of the surrounding valleys and the opportunity to interact with locals.

Evening

Arrive at Tashigaon and set up camp for the night. Tashigaon is the last village before entering the more remote and rugged terrain towards Makalu Base Camp.

DAY 2

Morning

Start early from Tashigaon and begin the ascent towards Makalu Base Camp. The trail gradually climbs through rhododendron forests and alpine meadows, offering spectacular views along the way.

Mid-morning

Reach the Shipton Pass, which marks the entrance to the Barun Valley. Take a short break to admire the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

Late Morning to Afternoon

Descend into the Barun Valley and continue trekking towards Makalu Base Camp. The trail follows the Barun River, with towering peaks rising on either side.

Lunch

Have a packed lunch along the trail or at a suitable spot with scenic views.

Late Afternoon

Arrive at Makalu Base Camp and set up camp for the night. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the area and soaking in the breathtaking scenery.

Evening

Enjoy dinner under the starry sky and relax at the base camp, surrounded by some of the world's highest peaks.
