Athlete Waiver

I. Agreement Overview

This agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into between [ORGANIZING ENTITY], located at [ORGANIZER ADDRESS], hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer," and the undersigned participant, hereinafter referred to as the "Participant," for participation in [NAME OF EVENT], a competitive sports event.

II. Assumption of Risk

By signing this Agreement, the Participant acknowledges and understands that participation in [NAME OF EVENT] involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, and property damage. The Participant voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the event.

III. Participant's Responsibilities

1. The Participant agrees to abide by all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by the Organizer and event officials.

2. The Participant acknowledges that they are solely responsible for their own safety and well-being during the event.

3. The Participant agrees to inform event officials of any medical conditions, injuries, or disabilities that may affect their participation.

IV. Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in [NAME OF EVENT], the Participant hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue the Organizer, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the Participant during the event.

V. Indemnification

The Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organizer from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including but not limited to attorney's fees, arising out of or related to the Participant's participation in [NAME OF EVENT].

VI. Emergency Medical Treatment

In the event of any injury or medical emergency during the event, the Participant authorizes event officials to obtain medical treatment for them as deemed necessary.

VII. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of [STATE], without regard to its conflict of law principles.

VIII. Acknowledgement of Understanding

The Participant acknowledges that they have carefully read and fully understand the terms and conditions of this Agreement and voluntarily agree to be bound by its provisions.
