We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a welcoming demeanor, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to our guests. As a Hotel Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive.
Greet Guests: Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
Check-In and Check-Out: Assist guests with the check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Answer Inquiries: Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, facilities, and local attractions, providing helpful and accurate information.
Manage Reservations: Handle guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications, ensuring all information is accurately recorded in the hotel management system.
Coordinate with Staff: Work closely with other hotel departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, to ensure guest needs are met.
Assist with Luggage: Provide assistance with luggage handling and storage as needed.
Maintain Lobby Area: Ensure the lobby and reception areas are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
Address Complaints: Handle guest complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism, seeking to resolve issues promptly and satisfactorily.
Promote Services: Inform guests of hotel services, amenities, and special promotions, encouraging them to take advantage of available offerings.
High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry, is highly desirable.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Problem-Solving: Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor, maintaining the highest standards of personal grooming and presentation.
Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Technology Skills: Proficiency in using hotel management software and basic computer applications.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry luggage and other items up to 30 pounds.
Ability to navigate various areas of the hotel property quickly and efficiently.
