1. Description of Computer

2. Loan Period

3. Use of Computer

3.3 Care and Maintenance

The Borrower agrees to take proper care of the Computer and ensure it is kept in good working condition. This includes keeping the Computer clean, avoiding physical damage, and ensuring it is charged and ready for use.

4. Responsibility and Liability

4.1 Borrower’s Responsibility

The Borrower is responsible for the Computer at all times during the loan period. This includes ensuring the Computer is not lost, stolen, or damaged.

4.2 Liability for Loss or Damage

In the event of loss, theft, or damage to the Computer, the Borrower is responsible for reporting the incident to the School immediately. The Borrower is liable for any repair or replacement costs, which will be determined by the School based on the extent of the damage or the current replacement cost of the Computer.

4.3 Insurance

The Borrower may choose to insure the Computer through a third-party insurance provider. The School is not responsible for providing insurance coverage for the Computer.

5. Technical Support and Repairs

5.1 Technical Support

The School will provide technical support for the Computer during the loan period. The Borrower can contact the School’s IT department for assistance with any technical issues.

5.2 Repairs

If the Computer requires repairs, the Borrower must return it to the School for assessment. The School’s IT department will determine whether the Computer can be repaired and the associated costs. The Borrower is responsible for any repair costs resulting from misuse or negligence.

6. Software and Data

6.1 Pre-installed Software

The Computer comes pre-installed with software necessary for the Borrower’s educational activities. The Borrower is not permitted to remove or alter this software.

6.2 Additional Software

The Borrower may install additional software required for their coursework, provided it does not interfere with the Computer’s functionality or violate the School’s acceptable use policy.

6.3 Data Backup

The Borrower is responsible for backing up their data regularly. The School is not liable for any loss of data due to technical issues or other circumstances.

7. Privacy and Monitoring

7.1 Monitoring

The School reserves the right to monitor the use of the Computer to ensure compliance with this Agreement and the School’s acceptable use policy. This may include, but is not limited to, tracking internet usage, reviewing installed software, and accessing files stored on the Computer.

7.2 Privacy

The Borrower acknowledges that they have no expectation of privacy while using the Computer. The School may access and review any data or communications created, stored, or transmitted using the Computer.

8. Agreement Termination

8.1 Early Termination by School

The School reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and require the immediate return of the Computer if the Borrower violates any terms of this Agreement or the School’s acceptable use policy.

8.2 Early Return by Borrower

The Borrower may choose to return the Computer before the end of the loan period. In such cases, the Borrower must notify the School and arrange for the return of the Computer.

9. General Provisions

9.1 Amendments

Any amendments to this Agreement shall be valid and enforceable only if they are made through a written document. Furthermore, this written document must include the signatures of both the School and the Borrower to be considered effective and binding.

9.2 Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [State/Country].

9.3 Entire Agreement
