The Gym Trainer is responsible for providing fitness instruction, creating personalized exercise plans, and motivating members to achieve their fitness goals. The trainer will maintain a high standard of service, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all members.
Conduct fitness assessments to establish clients' fitness levels, goals, and limitations.
Develop individualized exercise plans based on clients' health status, fitness goals, and abilities.
Provide ongoing fitness consultations to track progress and adjust exercise plans as needed.
Lead individual and group fitness training sessions.
Demonstrate and instruct on the correct form, technique, and use of all equipment.
Provide modifications and variations of exercises to accommodate various fitness levels and goals.
Foster a positive and encouraging environment for clients.
Set realistic and achievable goals to motivate clients.
Offer continuous support and encouragement to help clients stay motivated and achieve their fitness objectives.
Ensure all fitness equipment is used safely and properly.
Monitor the gym floor for potential safety hazards and address them immediately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness area and equipment.
Stay updated with the latest fitness trends, techniques, and certifications.
Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions.
Maintain valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM).
Minimum of [X] years of experience in personal training or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and exercise techniques.
