At [Your Company Name], we are looking for an energetic and passionate Group Exercise Instructor to lead a variety of fitness classes that enhance the health and well-being of our members. You will be responsible for creating dynamic, inclusive, and motivating class environments that encourage fitness, wellness, and community. This role requires a deep knowledge of fitness techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt workouts to suit a range of fitness levels.
Class Preparation and Execution: Design and execute engaging class routines suitable for participants of varying fitness levels. Ensure all classes start and end on time.
Safety and Modifications: Prioritize participant safety by demonstrating proper techniques and offering modifications for different skill levels. Monitor participants throughout classes to ensure they are exercising safely.
Motivation and Engagement: Maintain high energy and provide consistent motivation to help participants achieve their fitness goals. Encourage a positive and inclusive class environment.
Equipment Management: Set up and break down necessary equipment before and after classes. Ensure equipment is used correctly and stored safely.
Member Interaction: Provide fitness guidance and feedback to participants before and after classes. Build strong relationships with members to promote class attendance and retention.
Program Development: Collaborate with fitness management to introduce new classes that align with current fitness trends and member demand.
Feedback and Improvement: Solicit feedback from participants to improve class experience and update routines as needed. Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on gym policies and industry standards.
Record Keeping: Keep accurate attendance records and track participant progress when applicable.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification from a nationally accredited organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA) in group fitness or personal training.
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience teaching group fitness classes. Experience in specialty classes (e.g., yoga, Pilates, spin, Zumba) is highly desirable.
