I. Job Summary
The Junior Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records. This position supports the accounting department by managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and assisting with audits.

II. Key Responsibilities

Financial Recordkeeping

Maintain and update general ledger accounts.

Post journal entries for transactions, including A/P and A/R.

Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and procedures.

Financial Reporting

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Compile data for financial analysis and forecasting.

Generate reports on financial performance and variances.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.

Manage and reconcile accounts receivable, including overdue follow-ups.

Manage petty cash and expense reimbursements.

Audit & Compliance

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Support compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Administrative Support

Prepare and maintain financial documents and records.

Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant.

III. Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

Experience: 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred, though recent graduates with strong academic performance will be considered.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.

Advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis and financial reporting.

Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
