Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented School Accountant to join our educational institution in the year 2050. The School Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the school’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in all financial activities. Key Responsibilities

Keep accurate financial records per standard accounting practices.

Analyze financial records and reports for accuracy and compliance.

3.

Coordinate budget meetings and ensure proper fund allocation.

4.

Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk.

5.

Oversee payroll duties and ensure timely and accurate salary payments.

6.

Prepare financial reports for review by school management and the board.

7.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.

8.

Manage financial audits and implement audit recommendations.

9.

Liaise with other departments to discuss, analyze, and resolve financial issues.

10.

Continuously enhance financial processes for better efficiency.


Qualifications and Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.

Experience

A minimum of five years experience in an accounting role, preferably in an educational institution.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in advanced accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Other

Strong knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and compliance requirements.
