I. PARTIES
This Employment Agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into as of [Month Day, Year], by and between, [Your Company Name], a religious organization located at [Your Company Address], hereinafter referred to as "Employer", and [Minister's Name], an ordain minister residing at [Minister's Address], hereinafter referred to as "Employee".

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements contained herein, the parties agree as follows:
II. POSITION AND DUTIES
A. Title and Duties
Employee is employed as a Minister. Employee will be responsible for leading worship services, providing pastoral care, preaching, counseling, conducting ceremonies, and managing church programs as needed. Specific duties will include delivering weekly sermons, officiating weddings and funerals, and supporting community outreach initiatives.
B. Supervision
Employee will report directly to the Senior Pastor or the designated church leadership board.
III. TERM OF EMPLOYMENT
A. Duration
The term of employment shall begin on [Month Day, Year]. Employment shall continue for an initial period of three (3) years, ending on [Month Day, Year]. The Agreement may be renewed or extended upon mutual agreement.
B. Probationary Period

V. WORK SCHEDULE
A. Regular Hours
Employee is expected to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week, including Sundays and other church events. Specific hours may be flexible depending on church activities and needs.
B. Additional Hours
Employee may be required to work additional hours beyond the regular schedule to fulfill job responsibilities, including attending special events and meetings.
VI. DUTY OF LOYALTY
A. Confidentiality
Employee agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive information related to the church and its members.
B. Non-Compete
During the term of employment and for one year following termination, Employee shall not engage in any competitive activities that directly conflict with the interests of the Employer.
C. Conflict of Interest
Employee must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may arise and refrain from participating in activities that could compromise the integrity of their role. This ensures transparency and alignment with the church’s values.
D. Non-Solicitation
Employee agrees not to solicit or recruit any church members, staff, or volunteers for any other religious or commercial organizations during the term of employment and for one year after termination.
E. Ethical Conduct
Employee agrees to act in accordance with the highest ethical standards, maintaining integrity and honesty in all dealings related to their position.
VII. TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
A. Voluntary Termination
Employee may terminate employment with thirty (30) days written notice. Employer will provide a severance package equivalent to one month’s salary if Employee provides such notice.
B. Involuntary Termination
Employer may terminate employment with thirty (30) days written notice or immediately for cause, including but not limited to breach of this Agreement, misconduct, or failure to perform duties satisfactorily.
C. Resignation
Upon resignation, Employee will assist in the transition of duties and provide a written summary of ongoing projects and responsibilities.
VIII. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
A. Standards of Conduct
Employee agrees to adhere to the professional standards and ethical guidelines set forth by the church and applicable religious organizations.
B. Disciplinary Actions
Any breach of conduct or failure to comply with church policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
C. Public Representation
Employee must represent the church positively in all public engagements and communications. This includes refraining from making statements or taking actions that could damage the church’s reputation.
D. Use of Church Resources
Employee must use church resources, including time and property, solely for church-related activities. Misuse of resources can lead to disciplinary action.
E. Personal Conduct
Employee must conduct themselves in a manner that upholds the values and mission of the church, both within and outside of the workplace.
IX. INSURANCE AND LIABILITY
A. Insurance
Employer will provide liability insurance coverage for Employee in the performance of job duties, subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.
B. Liability
Employee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Employer from any claims arising from Employee’s negligence or willful misconduct.
X. GOVERNING LAW
A. Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.
B. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved through mediation before pursuing legal action, with jurisdiction in [State].
C. Legal Compliance
Both parties agree to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations in the performance of their obligations under this Agreement. This includes adherence to labor laws and regulations.
D. Arbitration

D. Amendments
