Script Title: Final Countdown

INT. SECRET LAB - NIGHT

The lab is cluttered with futuristic equipment, glowing with various lights. Papers are scattered everywhere. ANNA, a brilliant but disheveled scientist, is furiously typing on a computer.

ANNA (muttering):

Come on, come on...

Suddenly, the entire lab shakes violently as an EXPLOSION rocks the building. The lights flicker and alarms blare. Anna's hands tremble as she looks at the countdown timer on her screen: 00:02:30.

INT. CORRIDOR - NIGHT

Running footsteps echo through the corridor. JACK, a rugged and determined soldier, wields a rifle as he sprints towards the lab, sweat streaming down his face.

JACK (yelling, out of breath):

Anna! Status report!

INT. SECRET LAB - CONTINUOUS

Anna hears Jack from the corridor and quickly rushes to the door. She opens it to find Jack, panting heavily.

ANNA (frantic):

We have less than two minutes, Jack! The reactor is going to blow!

JACK (grabbing Anna's shoulders):

Then let's shut it down. Together.

Jack and Anna run back to the computer. Anna continues typing furiously, her eyes glued to the screen. Jack nervously watches the countdown timer, which now shows 00:01:45.

INT. REACTOR CORE - NIGHT

The room is bathed in an ominous red glow. Sparks fly from ruptured machinery. The reactor HUMS with increasing intensity, indicating imminent failure.

INT. SECRET LAB - CONTINUOUS

ANNA (grimacing):

I can't do this alone! Jack, hand me the override chip from the safe!

Jack darts to the corner of the lab, where a secure safe sits. He punches in the code with shaking hands, retrieving the small, glowing chip.

JACK (handing it to Anna):

Here, now what?

ANNA (instructing, focused):

Insert it into the port on the mainframe, quickly!

Jack sprints to the mainframe, slots the override chip into the port, and twists it. The computer screen displays a series of rapid calculations, then the countdown timer freezes at 00:00:30.

ANNA (relieved, collapsing into a chair):

We did it... we stopped it.

JACK (smiling, wiping his forehead):

Just another day of saving the world.
