Residential Real Estate Pet Addendum

RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE PET ADDENDUM

Effective Date: January 1, 2051


I. Introduction

This Residential Real Estate Pet Addendum ("Addendum") is hereby incorporated into and made part of the Residential Lease Agreement ("Lease Agreement") dated January 1, 2050, between the undersigned ("Landlord") and ("Tenant") for the premises located at 1234 Elm Street, Anytown, XY 12345 ("Premises"). This Addendum sets forth the terms and conditions under which the Tenant is allowed to keep a pet on the Premises.


II. Pet Description

The Tenant is permitted to keep the following pet on the Premises:

III. Pet Rules and Restrictions

The Tenant shall ensure that the pet does not create excessive noise that disturbs neighbors.

Pet Waste

Tenant must immediately clean up pet waste and dispose of it in a sanitary manner.


IV. Maintenance and Clean-Up Responsibilities

The Tenant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions in all areas where the pet is kept. The Tenant must ensure regular grooming and pest control for the pet to avoid pest infestation and other related issues. Failure to maintain cleanliness standards may result in additional cleaning fees.


V. Liability for Damages

VI. Pet Insurance

The Tenant agrees to maintain renters insurance that includes coverage for pet-related incidents. The Tenant must provide proof of insurance to the Landlord within seven (7) days of signing this Addendum and upon each renewal of the insurance policy.


VII. Termination of Pet Agreement

The Landlord reserves the right to terminate this Addendum if the Tenant fails to comply with its terms and conditions. Tenant will be given a written notice of the termination, after which Tenant must remove the pet from the Premises within seven (7) days.
