Contractor Responsibilities:
Obtain necessary permits for construction work.
Conduct all work in compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Provide a clean and safe work environment.
Communicate regularly with the client regarding progress.
Client Responsibilities:
Provide access to the property during work hours.
Make timely payments as outlined in the payment schedule.
Notify the contractor of any issues or concerns promptly.
Any changes to the scope of work must be documented in writing and signed by both parties. This may result in adjustments to the contract amount and/or timeline.
In the event of a dispute arising from this contract, both parties agree to engage in good-faith negotiations to resolve the matter. If a resolution cannot be reached, the parties may seek mediation or arbitration.
This contract shall be governed by the laws of the state of Illinois.
