FOR VALUE RECEIVED, the undersigned, Johnathan Smith, residing at 123 Elm Street, Springfield, IL 62701, (hereinafter referred to as "Borrower"), promises to pay to the order of [Your Name], residing at 456 Oak Avenue, Springfield, IL 62702, (hereinafter referred to as "Lender"), the principal sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), with no interest, on or before January 15, 2061.
1. Payment Terms
The total amount of $10,000.00 shall be paid in one lump sum payment on the due date of January 15, 2061. The Borrower shall make this payment in lawful money of the United States.
2. Prepayment
The Borrower may prepay this note in whole or in part at any time without penalty. Any such prepayment shall be applied to the principal balance.
3. Default
If the Borrower fails to make the payment as specified above, the entire remaining balance of this note shall become immediately due and payable at the option of the Lender. The Borrower agrees to pay all costs of collection, including reasonable attorney's fees, incurred by the Lender in enforcing this note.
4. Governing Law
This Promissory Note shall be governed by and construed following the laws of the State of Illinois.
5. Severability
If any provision of this Note is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
6. Binding Effect
This Note shall be binding upon the Borrower and the Borrower’s heirs, successors, and assigns.
