Artist Responsibilities
Delivery and Transit Insurance: The artist is responsible for insuring the artwork during transportation to and from the gallery. The gallery’s insurance will only cover the artwork once it has been received and documented.
Condition Report: The artist agrees to inspect the artwork upon delivery and upon collection from the gallery. Any damage must be documented immediately. The gallery will provide its own condition report upon receipt of the artwork.
Insurance Limitations: The gallery’s insurance covers the agreed value of the artwork only while it is physically located at the gallery premises. Any damage that occurs during handling by third-party shippers or couriers must be claimed through the artist’s own insurance provider.
