Pet Care Contract

This Pet Care Contract ("Contract") is entered into on the [effective date], by and between [Your Company Name], located at [Your Company Address], and the Client, [Your Client Name], residing at [Client’s Address]. This Contract establishes the terms and conditions under which [Your Company Name] will provide pet care services for the Client’s pet(s) for the period specified within.

I. General Terms and Conditions

A. Scope of Services

[Your Company Name] agrees to provide a range of professional pet care services for the Client’s pet(s) as outlined in this Contract. These services are designed to ensure that the pet(s) are well cared for, safe, and comfortable while under the care of [Your Company Name]. The specific services provided will be based on the individual needs of the pet(s) and the requirements as set forth by the Client. These services include, but are not limited to:

1. Daily Feeding and Hydration

[Your Company Name] will provide feeding services for the pet(s) based on the instructions provided by the Client. This includes specifying the type of food, quantity, and feeding schedule. The Client is responsible for ensuring that sufficient food is provided for the duration of the service period. If the pet has any special dietary requirements or restrictions, it is the Client’s responsibility to communicate this clearly to [Your Company Name].

In addition, fresh water will be available to the pet(s) at all times to ensure proper hydration. [Your Company Name] will also monitor the pet(s) during mealtime to ensure they are eating and drinking appropriately and address any issues that may arise.

2. Exercise and Enrichment Activities

Exercise is vital to maintaining the pet’s physical and mental well-being. [Your Company Name] will provide daily exercise through walks, runs, or other outdoor activities suited to the pet's age, size, and breed. If the pet has mobility issues, [Your Company Name] will adapt exercise sessions to meet their needs.

For pets that are active or have high energy levels, enrichment activities such as puzzle games, toys, and training exercises may also be included. These activities help stimulate the pet mentally and provide them with valuable social interaction. Clients are encouraged to inform [Your Company Name] of any preferred activities that they would like their pet(s) to engage in during the service period.

3. Basic Grooming and Hygiene

Regular grooming is essential for the health and comfort of the pet. [Your Company Name] will provide basic grooming services such as brushing, nail trimming, and cleaning of the pet’s ears and eyes, as needed. For pets with long fur, brushing will be performed to prevent matting and tangling.

If a pet requires specialized grooming, such as bathing or haircuts, the Client should make arrangements for these services with the appropriate grooming professionals. [Your Company Name] will ensure the pet is kept clean and comfortable during their time under our care.

4. Medication Administration

If the pet requires any medication, the Client will be responsible for providing the medication and clear instructions for its administration. [Your Company Name] will follow the Client’s instructions regarding dosage, frequency, and method of administration, whether it be oral, topical, or injections.

[Your Company Name] will maintain a log of each dose administered and will notify the Client if any issues arise related to the pet’s medication. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that medication is provided for the duration of the service period.

B. Terms of Service

1. Duration of Service

This Contract will be in effect for the period starting on [start date] and ending on [end date], unless terminated earlier according to the conditions in Section V of this Contract. The service duration may be extended or shortened with mutual consent from both parties.

2. Availability

[Your Company Name] agrees to provide pet care services on a daily basis within the service hours, which are between [starting hour] and [ending hour]. If the Client requires services outside of these hours, additional charges may apply.

For any special or urgent needs, [Your Company Name] will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes to the agreed schedule. However, such requests must be made with sufficient notice to ensure availability of the pet care provider.

3. Limitations

While [Your Company Name] strives to provide high-quality care, there may be certain limitations to the services provided, such as:

  • Services may be affected by weather conditions, particularly if outdoor activities are involved.

  • Certain health conditions or behavioral issues may require a different level of care or may be outside of [Your Company Name]’s capacity to manage safely.

In such cases, [Your Company Name] will inform the Client immediately and work with the Client to develop an alternative solution or find the appropriate care.

C. Payment Terms

1. Service Fees

The Client agrees to pay a service fee of $[50] per day for each pet under the care of [Your Company Name]. This fee will be paid on a weekly basis or as otherwise agreed between both parties. The total amount for the service period will be $[total amount], which will include all basic care services such as feeding, exercise, grooming, and medication administration.

2. Payment Schedule

Payments will be due on a weekly basis, on every Friday of each week. [Your Company Name] will issue an invoice detailing the services provided for the week, and the Client agrees to make payment within [14] days of receiving the invoice.

Late payments will incur an additional charge of [$10] if not received within [3] days of the due date. Continued failure to make timely payments may result in termination of services as outlined in Section V of this Contract.

3. Payment Methods

The Client may pay via credit card, bank transfer, or an online payment platform such as PayPal. [Your Company Name] will provide the necessary details for each payment method, and the Client agrees to make payments promptly to avoid any service interruptions.

2. Behavioral Disclosures

To ensure safe and effective care, the Client must inform [Your Company Name] of any behavioral issues their pet may have, such as aggression toward people or other animals, separation anxiety, or fear of loud noises. This disclosure will allow [Your Company Name] to adapt their care approach and ensure the pet is handled appropriately.

Pets that exhibit dangerous behaviors may not be eligible for all services provided by [Your Company Name], and it may be necessary to find a more specialized provider to address their needs.

The Client agrees to be responsible for any costs related to emergency veterinary care, including transportation, consultation fees, and any treatments or medications prescribed by the veterinarian. [Your Company Name] will make every effort to inform the Client of the emergency situation and consult them if possible before proceeding with treatment.

3. Veterinarian Selection

[Your Company Name] will select a veterinarian within reasonable proximity to the location of the pet(s) under care. If the Client has a preferred veterinarian, they must inform [Your Company Name] in advance.
