B. Teacher Responsibilities

V. Cancellation and Missed Lessons

A. Cancellation Policy

  1. The Student or Instructor may cancel a lesson by providing [24 hours] advance notice. Cancellations with less than [10 days] notice will be charged at the full lesson rate.

  2. In the case of a cancellation made by the Instructor, a makeup lesson will be scheduled at no extra charge to the Student. If the Student cancels, they forfeit the lesson unless rescheduled within the same week.

B. Missed Lessons

B. Performance Opportunities

  1. In addition to recitals, other performance opportunities may be available throughout the course. These opportunities might include informal jam sessions, community events, or school concerts, depending on the Student’s interests and progress.

  2. The Student agrees to prepare for such performances by practicing the required music, committing to regular rehearsals, and following the Instructor’s recommendations for improving their performance.

  3. The Student's participation in these performances is subject to availability, and the Instructor will ensure that the Student has sufficient preparation time before any public appearance.

VIII. Liability and Insurance

A. Liability for Injury or Loss

  1. The Student acknowledges and assumes responsibility for any personal injury or property damage that may occur during lessons. The Instructor will not be held liable for any injuries sustained on the premises or during the lessons.

  2. The Student is encouraged to exercise caution and follow safety instructions to minimize any risks associated with learning music. This includes ensuring that their instruments or materials do not cause injury or damage.

  3. The Instructor maintains appropriate professional liability insurance for teaching services; however, this does not cover injuries sustained by the Student outside of the lesson.

B. Waiver of Claims
