Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Telecommunication Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

  1. Network Design and Optimization: Design and implement telecommunication systems including mobile, internet, and satellite networks. Optimize network performance to meet organizational requirements.

  2. Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain telecommunication equipment such as routers, antennas, switches, and modems to ensure high-quality communication.

  3. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network failures, connectivity issues, and other technical problems to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability.

  4. Network Security: Implement security protocols to protect sensitive data and communication from cyber threats, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  5. Monitoring and Testing: Continuously monitor network performance and run diagnostic tests to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades.

  6. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate telecommunication solutions and provide technical support to end users for system-related issues.

  7. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards. Document system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications, network engineering, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of telecommunication protocols, routers, switches, and network management systems.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot network issues and implement efficient solutions under pressure.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and end users.

Preferred Skills

  1. Certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or other relevant telecommunication certifications.

  2. Experience working with wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, and fiber optics.

  3. Familiarity with network security best practices and tools for data protection.

  4. Knowledge of project management processes and tools.

Work Environment

This position will involve a mix of office-based work and occasional site visits for system installations and troubleshooting. Some travel may be required.

Reports To

The Telecommunication Engineer will report to the Network Manager or IT Department Head.
