Short-Term Tenancy Agreement
1. Parties
This Short-Term Tenancy Agreement (hereinafter referred to as "Agreement") is made and entered into by and between the following parties:
Landlord: [YOUR NAME], residing at Virginia Beach, VA 23450.
Tenant: Edgar Spencer, residing at Virginia Beach, VA 23450.
2. Premises
The Landlord hereby agrees to rent to the Tenant, and the Tenant hereby agrees to rent from the Landlord, a certain residential property located at Virginia Beach, VA 23450 (hereinafter referred to as the "Premises").
3. Term
The term of this Agreement shall begin on November 1, 2073 and shall end on December 31, 2073, unless earlier terminated in accordance with the terms herein.
4. Rent
The Tenant agrees to pay to the Landlord, during the term of this Agreement, rent in the amount of $1,500 per month, due on the first day of each month. Rent shall be payable in U.S. dollars by check or electronic transfer to an account designated by the Landlord.
5. Security Deposit
The Tenant shall provide a security deposit of $500 upon signing this Agreement. The security deposit shall be held by the Landlord to cover any damages to the Premises beyond normal wear and tear. The security deposit shall be returned to the Tenant within 30 days of the termination of this Agreement, less any deductions for damages.
6. Use of Premises
The Tenant may use the Premises solely for residential purposes and shall not engage in or permit any illegal activities on the Premises. The Tenant shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the use and occupancy of the Premises.
7. Maintenance and Repairs
The Landlord shall be responsible for all major repairs to the Premises. The Tenant shall promptly report any damage or necessary repairs to the Landlord. The Tenant shall maintain the Premises in a clean and habitable condition and shall be responsible for any minor repairs necessitated by misuse or neglect.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice to the other party at least 15 days prior to the intended termination date. Upon termination, the Tenant shall vacate the Premises and return all keys to the Landlord.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Virginia in which the Premises are located.
10. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions, agreements, or understandings of any kind and every nature between the parties regarding the subject matter hereof.
