1. Purpose of Apprenticeship
This Apprenticeship Agreement is entered into to provide Sarah J. Williams with practical training and experience in the field of cosmetology as prescribed by the State of California’s cosmetology regulations.
2. Term of Agreement
This Agreement shall be effective as of January 15th, 2050, and will continue until January 15th, 2052, unless terminated earlier by either party under the terms of this Agreement.
3. Scope of Apprenticeship
The Apprentice will be trained in the following cosmetology skills under the supervision of a licensed cosmetologist or instructor:

Hair cutting, styling, and coloring

Skincare and facials

Nail care and manicures
-
Makeup application
-
Customer service and salon management
4. Work Schedule
The Apprentice agrees to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, as scheduled by the Employer. The schedule may change depending on the needs of the salon and client appointments.
5. Compensation
The Apprentice will be compensated as follows:

Hourly wage of $12.50 per hour for the first 6 months, which will increase to $15.00 per hour thereafter.

A monthly bonus based on client feedback and sales performance, to be discussed at the end of each month.

Discount on salon products (20%) and services (10%).
6. Supervision and Training
The Employer agrees to provide appropriate supervision and guidance during the Apprentice’s training. The Apprentice shall be required to attend any mandatory training sessions, meetings, or events as mandated by the Employer or the State Cosmetology Board.
7. Apprentice’s Responsibilities
The Apprentice agrees to:

Follow the Employer’s policies, procedures, dress code, and safety guidelines.

Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with clients and staff.

Attend all required training sessions and seek feedback to improve skills.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon space.

Follow all local and state regulations governing cosmetology practices.
8. Employer’s Responsibilities
The Employer agrees to:

Provide the Apprentice with the necessary tools, equipment, and facilities to perform the tasks required.

Ensure that the Apprentice is always working under the supervision of a licensed cosmetologist.

Provide constructive feedback and evaluations on the Apprentice’s progress.

Create a supportive learning environment.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement for the following reasons:

Mutual agreement between the Apprentice and Employer.

Failure of the Apprentice to fulfill duties, maintain professionalism, or follow outlined policies.

Failure of the Employer to provide adequate training or supervision.

Any violation of local or state laws governing the practice of cosmetology.
10. Confidentiality
The Apprentice agrees to keep all confidential information about the Employer’s business operations, customer information, and trade secrets private both during and after the apprenticeship term.
11. Liability
The Employer will carry appropriate insurance coverage for the Apprentice during the term of the apprenticeship. The Apprentice will be covered under the Employer's workers' compensation policy as applicable.
12. Acknowledgment
By signing this Agreement, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions stated herein.
