1. Purpose of the Agreement
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for the apprenticeship training of the apprentice in the field of Nail Technology. The apprentice agrees to undergo training and gain hands-on experience under the guidance of the employer.
2. Duration of the Apprenticeship
The apprenticeship will begin on January 15, 2050, and end on January 14, 2051, unless terminated earlier as provided in this agreement. The apprenticeship term is 12 months.
3. Scope of Training
The apprentice will undergo training in the following skills and activities:
Nail care and maintenance (e.g., trimming, filing, buffing)
Application of nail enhancements (e.g., gel, acrylics, dip powder)
Nail art techniques (e.g., designs, 3D nail art)
Sanitization and sterilization of equipment
Client consultation and care
Health and safety standards in a nail salon
The apprentice will perform these tasks under the supervision of qualified staff, and with opportunities for feedback and guidance.
4. Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities
The apprentice will work a total of 30 hours per week.
The apprentice agrees to follow all safety protocols, salon policies, and industry standards.
The apprentice will complete any assignments or tasks given by the employer or mentor.
The apprentice will attend all required classes and/or workshops related to nail technology.
5. Employer Duties and Responsibilities
The employer agrees to provide training and mentorship in the outlined skills.
The employer will ensure the apprentice works in a safe, clean, and professional environment.
The employer will offer reasonable accommodations to assist the apprentice in learning and development.
6. Compensation
The apprentice will be compensated at the rate of $15.00 per hour.
The apprentice will receive pay on a bi-weekly basis.
Additional benefits include 1 week of paid vacation after 6 months of employment and eligibility for a health insurance plan after 9 months.
7. Supervision and Assessment
The apprentice will be supervised by Jennifer Collins, the salon owner, and a certified Nail Technician.
The apprentice will receive regular assessments and feedback regarding progress.
The apprentice will have periodic reviews to assess the development of skills and completion of training objectives, with a formal review on July 15, 2050, and January 14, 2051.
8. Termination of Agreement
Either party may terminate this agreement with 14 days’ notice in writing if they are dissatisfied with the arrangement or other factors. Grounds for immediate termination may include gross misconduct or failure to meet training expectations.
9. Confidentiality
The apprentice agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding any proprietary information, customer details, or business practices learned during the apprenticeship.
10. Governing Law
This agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of New Town.
