This Apprenticeship Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into as of January 3, 2050, by and between:

WHEREAS, the Employer agrees to provide training and mentorship to the Apprentice in the skilled trade of Carpentry (the "Trade"), and the Apprentice agrees to diligently perform the tasks required to learn this trade under the terms and conditions outlined herein.


1. Purpose of Agreement

The purpose of this Agreement is to outline the terms and conditions under which the Apprentice will receive training and work experience in the Trade with the Employer, by applicable laws and standards.


2. Apprenticeship Details

Trade:
The Apprentice shall be trained in the trade of Carpentry.

Term of Apprenticeship:
The apprenticeship will begin on January 15, 2050, and end on January 15, 2053, unless terminated earlier as provided herein. The apprenticeship is expected to last 3 years or until the Apprentice achieves competency in the trade, whichever comes first.

Training Schedule:
The Apprentice will be required to work 40 hours per week, and the schedule will be as follows:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
The schedule may be adjusted upon mutual agreement of the Employer and Apprentice.

Wages and Benefits:
The Employer agrees to pay the Apprentice the following wages during the term of the apprenticeship:

  • Starting Hourly Wage: $18.00 per hour.

  • Wage Increases: The Apprentice will receive wage increases upon meeting specific milestones outlined in the training plan.

  • Benefits:

    • Health Insurance: Provided by the Employer after 6 months of employment.

    • Paid Time Off (PTO): 10 days annually after the first year.

    • Retirement Plan: Employer matches 3% of wages after 12 months of service.


3. Apprentice's Responsibilities

The Apprentice agrees to:

  • Actively participate in all required training sessions and work tasks.

  • Follow all applicable safety regulations and the Employer's workplace rules.

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, ask questions, and seek guidance when necessary.

  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality, notifying the Employer in advance of any absence or delay.

  • Complete any required coursework, examinations, or certifications related to the trade.


4. Employer's Responsibilities

The Employer agrees to:

  • Provide the Apprentice with a structured learning program that includes on-the-job training and relevant coursework.

  • Offer regular evaluations and feedback on the Apprentice’s progress.

  • Assign a qualified mentor or supervisor to guide and assess the Apprentice’s development.

  • Ensure that the Apprentice is working in a safe and supportive environment in compliance with local labor laws.

  • Provide any necessary tools, equipment, or materials to facilitate the training.


5. Termination of Apprenticeship

This Agreement may be terminated by either party under the following conditions:

  • By the Employer: The Employer may terminate the Apprenticeship if the Apprentice fails to meet performance expectations, engages in misconduct, or violates the terms of this Agreement.

  • By the Apprentice: The Apprentice may terminate the Apprenticeship if they choose to withdraw from the program, provided they give 30 days notice in writing.

  • By Mutual Agreement: Both the Employer and Apprentice may agree to terminate this Agreement at any time, subject to any applicable notice period.


6. Completion of Apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the Apprentice may receive a Certificate of Completion and be eligible for a Journeyman Carpenter designation.


7. Confidentiality

The Apprentice agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or confidential information disclosed during the apprenticeship, both during and after the completion of the program.


8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.


9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes or disagreements arising from this Agreement shall first be addressed through mediation. If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute will be resolved through arbitration by the rules of the American Arbitration Association or through litigation in the appropriate court.


10. Miscellaneous

  • Modifications: Any modifications to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties.

  • Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Employer and the Apprentice and supersedes all prior agreements or discussions.
